The ACT Labor Government passed its Marriage Equality Same-Sex

The Federal Government has confirmed it will go ahead with a High Court challenge after the ACT today became the first Australian jurisdiction to legalise same-sex marriage….

Today it has been announced that the ACT “labor” government has passed a local law to allow seme sex marriage by 9 votes to 8. It was wrong for the country's smallest government, by just one vote, to change the meaning of marriage for all Australians between a man and a woman.

The Fundamentals of Marriage

The idea of the marriage was born in God’s mind long before the creation of the universe and of the humanity. It is important to know the story of the creation because, this explains that the world and life has its origins not by chance or by evolutions, but all of this comes from the hand of a Mighty and Supreme God.       

After God have created the heavens, the stars, the earth, the animals of the earth and sea; the most precious moments have come for the creation of the human life.

The Holy Scripture tells us that God said; “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Now, why God created a male and female? The narration continues saying; “God blessed them and said to them, be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it”. This is the reason for what God created two lives with opposite sex; to multiply and to fill the earth. 

So after Adam was created, God made Eve who was the ideal partner. A beautiful woman with a beautiful body which reveals the difference of compare to a male body; she had boots and beautiful curves and was made with a special reproductive organ so she could bear children which is the main purpose of the creation. The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.  So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. ²² Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.” This narration allows us to understand how God in His mighty wisdom have created the origins of the first marriage or the first union between a man and a woman. 

The narrations also tell us that when Adam saw the woman he said; that when he saw Eve he said; “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.” So, in this way was God who gave the woman to the man establishing with this event the institution of marriage when He said: “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” God then did confirm his purposes as the Scriptures say; “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good” (Gen. 1:31)

Through out the years and centuries, the society have accepted the validation of the union between a man and a woman and also validated it by performing the civil union accepted by the laws. Also we the believers in God have accepted and validated such union bringing it into the blessing of God by performing the religious ceremony before God’s presence where we make promises to each other. Moreover we have crated civil register were we record such unions in order to guarantee the rights and heritage of our descendent children.

 The majority of Latin countries have adopted the rights that the woman will bare the surname of the husband adding the article “de” which means “of” as a notation that she is married to her husband. And in the western countries is more popular that the woman will adopt the surname of her husband. As a result the offspring will bare the same surname which becomes to be the family name.

Later, we come to the time when Jesus was in His personal ministry on earth, He did confirm the truth of the marriage union when he attended an invitation to a wedding at Cana of Galilea (John Chap 2). In the same way the apostles of the church reassure the holiness of the marriage by saying; “⁴ Marriage should be honoured by all, and the marriage bed kept pure” (Hebrews 13:4).

 There is no doubt that through the centuries marriage has been recognized as a sacred and divine, between a man and a woman as created by God and accepted by the church and society. Marriage is holy because the creator of it is Holy and it should remain holy. (end chapter)

While man tries to change laws God’s laws it still will be the same…  We the people, who support, protect and defend the institution of marriage between a man and a woman as instituted by God, are completely shock by the decisions of some politicians who have turned their backs to the country majority and to God’s laws. There is not a call to any referendum and God has just been ignored when this legislation affects the institution of marriage and the children’s future as they will be denied the right to be rise up by a man and a woman as parents.

 A call to wake up;

 this another sign of the second coming of Christ as the bible prophecies have told in Mathew 24: “³⁷ As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. ³⁸ For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; ³⁹ and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”

 There was not wrong with marriage, the problems was that the people have corrupted themselves in marriage man to man and woman to woman; as in:

Romans Chap. 1:

^“26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. ²⁷ In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men (woman with other woman), and received in themselves the due penalty for their error”    

Further more; we need to consider that God himself is an unchangeable God and because of Hi great love He forgives de sin of those who turns from their weak ways and seek Him as Jesus said to the sinner woman; “Go and sin no more”. There is a list of sins that God has cursed and this includes sex relations within the same sex, ex. Leviticus 20: “¹³ if a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable” (same for woman) Detestable before God! Now, let me say that God is unchangeable therefore and under God’s law this action remains detestable.

Finally I pray for our nation which has been founded under Christians beliefs, I pray for the government so that this will uphold what is right, I pray for the church so that we will bring our prayers together before God, I pray for the children who are or will be denied the right to have a man a dad as parents.  I pray for the blessing of the marriages as instituted by God.
